What Thank a Teacher does

Thank a Teacher inspires, equips, and connects. We feature scholarships exclusively for current or former foster youth and offer free templates for people who want to start one.

We do not collect, hold, or distribute scholarship money, receive applications, or select recipients. Each scholarship is funded and run by its own sponsor, who is responsible for its rules, selection and legal compliance.

Listing accuracy

We check each listing against the sponsor's official page, but amounts, deadlines and rules can change without notice. Always confirm details on the sponsor's website before applying. A listing is not a promise of an award.

Featured programs

Mentioning a school, program or initiative, including Fostering the Future campuses, does not mean we are affiliated with or endorsed by it.

Submitting scholarships and portal accounts

Only submit scholarships that are exclusively for current or former foster youth
Information you submit must be accurate and you must be allowed to share it
We may edit, decline, hide or remove any listing or portal account
Keep your sign-in details private

Starter Kit templates

The Starter Kit is general educational material, not legal, tax or financial advice. Sponsors should consult qualified professionals before launching a scholarship.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site, attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or copy the directory in bulk for commercial use.

No warranty and limits of liability

The site is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, Thank a Teacher is not liable for decisions made by sponsors, the content of outside websites, or losses from relying on a listing.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do.
