About this scholarship

Connecticut DCF helps pay post-secondary education costs — up to the Central Connecticut State University cost of attendance, including tuition, fees, room, and board — for youth who were committed to the department or adopted from its foster program. Students apply using DCF form 3-2-1F.

Who can apply

Youth who were committed to Connecticut DCF, in its voluntary post-majority program, or adopted through DCF before age 18 (adoption finalized after January 1, 2005). Assistance generally ends at age 21 and can be extended to age 24.

Every scholarship in this directory is exclusively for current or former foster youth. Read the sponsor’s own eligibility rules before you start — they decide who qualifies.
