About this scholarship

Scholarships of up to $1,000 for New Mexico foster youth, with three application deadlines each year: June 1, September 1, or December 1.

Who can apply

Ages 17 to 26, in New Mexico state or tribal foster care for at least one year, attending or planning to attend college, trade school, or a similar program. A letter of recommendation is required.

Every scholarship in this directory is exclusively for current or former foster youth. Read the sponsor’s own eligibility rules before you start — they decide who qualifies.

How to submit your application

  2. 2. Gather your documents. Use the checklist to the side so you are not scrambling at the last minute.
