About this scholarship

Semester-by-semester scholarship support for students in Louisiana and Mississippi who lived in foster care. Applications open in early January and close March 1 each year.

Who can apply

Under 23, lived in foster care in the U.S. for at least one semester of high school, and currently reside in Louisiana or Mississippi.

Every scholarship in this directory is exclusively for current or former foster youth. Read the sponsor’s own eligibility rules before you start — they decide who qualifies.

How to submit your application

2. 2. Gather your documents. Use the checklist to the side so you are not scrambling at the last minute.
