About this scholarship
Minnesota's Fostering Independence Higher Education Grant covers the remaining cost of attendance — tuition, fees, books, housing, food, and transportation — after other aid, at Minnesota public and participating colleges.
Who can apply
Students who were in Minnesota foster care at any point after age 13, including those adopted or placed in guardianship after age 13. Available for up to five years, for students age 26 or younger.
