About this scholarship
The nsoro Educational Foundation funds young adults aging out of foster care nationwide. The scholarship covers tuition, room and board, academic fees, meal plans, and books and supplies at an accredited, Pell-eligible college, university, or trade school. Applications for each school year open in the winter; the most recent cycle closed in April, so check the foundation application portal for the next opening date.
Who can apply
Applicants must certify that they are currently in foster care, a ward of the state, or eligible for independent living services after aging out of foster care. Applicants must be ages 16 to 26, have a high school diploma or GED with at least a 2.0 GPA, be accepted to an accredited Pell-eligible school, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
