About this scholarship
Wisconsin's Brighter Star program administers the federal Chafee Education and Training Voucher, providing up to $5,000 per year for college or career training to youth who aged out of or were adopted from out-of-home care.
Who can apply
Youth who were likely to remain in out-of-home care until age 18, were adopted or entered guardianship at age 16 or older, or aged out of care between ages 18 and 23.
Every scholarship in this directory is exclusively for current or former foster youth. Read the sponsor’s own eligibility rules before you start — they decide who qualifies.
How to submit your application
