About this scholarship
Rhode Island's Higher Education Opportunity Incentive Grant supplements other aid for students from foster care attending the Community College of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College, or the University of Rhode Island. Applications go through DCYF's online grant portal.
Who can apply
Students who were in Rhode Island foster care for at least six months on or after their 14th birthday. Eligible through age 23.

How to submit your application

- 2. Gather your documents. Use the checklist to the side so you are not scrambling at the last minute.
