About this scholarship
Montana's Foster Youth Higher Education Assistance program is a last-dollar scholarship — half state-funded, half privately funded — covering remaining costs up to the full cost of attendance, including room and board, for full-time students.
Who can apply
Montana residents who are eligible for the federal Chafee foster care program and enroll full-time in the Montana University System.
Every scholarship in this directory is exclusively for current or former foster youth. Read the sponsor’s own eligibility rules before you start — they decide who qualifies.
