About this scholarship
The FUEL Scholarship invests in college education for current and former foster youth by funding the gap between a student's financial aid package and the actual cost of attending an accredited U.S. college, including tuition, housing and living expenses. The award is renewable annually.
Who can apply
Documented participation in foster care or ward of the state any time after the 13th birthday; current high school senior on track to graduate or high school graduate or equivalent; commitment to full-time study at a California State University, University of California or accredited community college; cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher; current resident of an eligible California county (Bay Area, Northern, Northern Central, Central and other listed regions).
