Who can apply
Verified TAL foster care eligibility through the Division of Child and Family Services, under 26, Utah resident, admitted to a Utah System of Higher Education institution and Pell-eligible through FAFSA.

How to submit your application
- 1. Check the deadline. Thursday, October 15, 2026.
- 2. Gather your documents. Use the checklist to the side so you are not scrambling at the last minute.
- 3. Open the sponsor’s application. The button below takes you straight to my529, in partnership with the Utah Division of Child and Family Services. Your application is submitted there, directly to them.
- 4. Save your confirmation. Keep the confirmation email or reference number, and follow up with the sponsor if you do not hear back.
